What an amazing session with Ava! Love, love, LOVE her! I’m very sad she and her parents are moving to the East Coast in just a few days! Hopefully they will make visits back to San Diego and I’ll have the chance to photograph her again. I dare you not to smile watching this video!

1 comment This makes me want to have another baby. So sweet! Happy New Year! I can’t believe it’s 2012! Moreover I can’t believe that this marks the beginning of Just Hatched Photography’s TENTH YEAR! I truly had no idea when I started out of my living room in Maryland 10 years ago that this would grow into what it has become. I consider myself truly blessed to be able to do something that I love each and every day. Even if I’m not in a great mood it’s very hard not to be happy going to work every day. It’s one of those things where there is always joy to be found, interesting people to talk to and the opportunity to do something special that will stay with people for a lifetime. You’ll find that the closer we get to May (the official anniversary) the more I will wax poetic. There are WAY to many things going on this year to put in just one post but I wanted to start with the fact that we’ve switched up the website. You’ll notice when you go to either www.justhatchedphotography.com OR www.just-hatched.com you will be taken directly to this blog site now. There are a lot of technical reasons why we did this having to do with search engines and such but the biggest reason for doing this is so there will always be new and hopefully interesting content for you to read on our site. The blog will be the go-to place for everything that is going on at Just Hatched Photography. Any sneak peeks from sessions, fun videos, promotions, etc. will all be on the blog. It will be a great place to view the very latest work we are doing. As I said… lots of things are coming down the road… too many to put in this single post. Our “old” site is still an integral part of our online presence and is linked to by the PORTFOLIO and RATES & INFO buttons above. One of the most important things you can do is subscribe to the blog over on the right hand side. It only takes a minute and then you can be sure you have all the latest info and also get to see all the fun stuff we’re doing! Before I go I wanted to post a few pictures from the entry way into the new (although we’ve been there 6 months!) studio. Please excuse the camera phone photos… sometimes it’s just quicker! I finally got a second table and while it isn’t quite set up the way I want it, it is coming along nicely. Next on the list is images for my nice long hallway! Here is to an exciting 2012! Sweet Baby “R” was in the studio yesterday and he is a CUTIE! His mama REALLY wanted the shot with his owl hat and the basket and we got it… but he definitely made me work for it! Baby “R” also has the dubious honor of being the first baby in a LONG time that scored a direct hit on me! Oh well… it’s not a good day unless I’ve been peed, pooped or spit up on! How’s that for a motto!
