CHANGES – San Diego Newborn Photographer

Dear Clients & Friends,

After 13 years in business and after almost a year of consideration, I have decided to no longer run Just Hatched Photography as a business. A number of factors weighed in my decision, but most notably the past year has been a very difficult one for me personally. In addition, the changing photography market has made it difficult to pursue photography as a sole source of income. As a result, I have made the difficult decision to pursue a more regular job in a completely different field.

As difficult as this is, I know that it is what is best for myself and my children at this time. I don’t think I will ever completely give up photography – it is too big of a part of who I am. However, I need to transition to doing it more as a hobby – as I am able, and photographing the things that bring me joy.

I want to thank those of you who have supported Just Hatched for many years and many babies! Your trust and loyalty have meant the world to me. Watching your children grow has been a blessing and an honor. As I said, I will still be around so feel free to contact me and ask about my availability. However, I ask for your understanding that this is now something I do on the side instead as of as a primary career.

Love & Best Wishes,

Melissa Perkins

Baby Leila • San Diego Newborn Photographer

The past few weeks have been wonderfully busy and I have so much to share!  So many new babies photographed at Just Hatched Photography as well as some adorable older babies!  I am currently on vacation but I brought along some images to blog from the past several weeks.  This is baby Leila.  She was a total doll to photograph and her daddy sent me this very sweet email:

“I’m at a loss for words.  The photos are fantastic.  I love them.  You captured the most beautiful shots of Leila.  Thank you so much.  We will recommend you to all of our friends.”  - A.H.
So, without further adieu, I give you Miss Leila…
